Description

According to Fragrantica, Watermelon is part of group Fruits, Vegetables and Nuts and its order profile is an extremely fresh note related to Calone or similar in profile synthetic molecules. Most fragrances in perfume use watermelon as an aquatic. The watermelon adds an illusion of water to the fragrance kind of like sliced cucumber or a generic melon scent. It is an aromachemical called Calone1951 which is also known as watermelon ketone. It is aquatic, sheer, fresh and a little bit fruity. But it does seem that the indie perfumers are starting to use watermelon as an actual note in perfumes now.

You will receive a 1/2ml sample (1ml sample vial filled half full) of each of the fragrances in this sampler.

  1. Alchemic Muse Pink Pearl Perfume Oil - Juicy, pink watermelon amidst sweet strawberry, Tahitian vanilla and jasmine flowers with a whisper of driftwood and sea air.
  2. Alkemia Seven Watermelon Suns Perfume Oil - A slightly surreal blend of ripe red watermelon, English cucumber, white leather, golden fig, white poppy, night flowering datura and water musk.
  3. Andromeda’s Curse Vega, Deneb & Altair Perfume Oil - Also known as the "Summer Triangle" these are the famous group of stars that appear in the sky above the northern hemisphere in early Summer and trace their way across the sky as the season ebbs into Autumn. This scent is composed of the best things of Summer - fragrant orange blossoms, honeyed peaches and sticky watermelon slices.
  4. Cocoa Pink Watermelon Cotton Candy Perfume - A nice blend of sweet and sour. Watermelon blended with our cotton candy.
  5. Cult Fragrance Great White Perfume Oil - A gourmand blend of juicy watermelon, chamoy chili sauce, sheer musk and treading salt water. This handcrafted fragrance shores away from the norm -- Slushy watermelon, smothered in bloody chamoy seasoning. A dying-sailor's delight!
  6. Demeter Watermelon Lollipop Cologne - Watermelon is about the mouth-puckering contrast between sugary-sweet fresh fruit and the eye-popping tartness you get in a watermelon lollipop.
  7. Firebird Watermelon Mint Perfume Oil - A cool and refreshing mix of chilled watermelon and perfectly ripe cantaloupe, muddled with fresh mint leaves. Fruity-sweet, watery and full of summer vibes.
  8. Henry Rose Ripe EDP - A sensory rush of abundance in saturated bloom. Radiant, juicy layers of lush fruit and soft florals burst into warm musk for an addictive, skin-soft finish. Created by perfumer Patricia Choux, this fruity-floral fragrance features top notes of lychee, watermelon sorbet, green leaves, cardamom and black pepper; middle notes of jasmine, peony, rosewater and wisteria; and base notes of upcycled Orcanox, soft woods, musks and creamy sandalwood.
  9. Le Monde Gourmand Melon D’Eau EDP – An aromatic fruity fragrance that launched in 2020. With notes of watermelon, raspberry, custard and lemon zest.
  10. Mochiglow Watermelon Soju EDP - Soju is a popular spirit from South Korea, traditionally brewed from rice. Its taste is similar to vodka, but fruit flavors can be added for an extra sparkle. For centuries, it's been the go-to drink for celebrations, toasts and everything in between. This perfume is inspired by Subak Soju, a cocktail of soju, fruit and soda served in a half watermelon. An effervescent scent that captures the fun times behind each sip. With top notes of sparkling citrus; middle notes of juicy watermelon and zesty soju; and a base note of agave nectar.
  11. Obscura Hortus The Haunters Perfume Oil – The perfumer created this scent to remind her of being a kid, and that exhilarating fear of passing by the haunted house down the street. The house that looms, consumes all of the daylight, and moans when the wind blows. What a perfect haven for ghosts and ghouls!! The scent is something like a childhood autumn with your old friends. Your shared (and fought over) candies and snacks. The chalk hopscotch lines drawn on sidewalks, and distant shrieks from a game in the back baseball field. Trading cards stuck in bicycle spokes. A red vampire cape blowing in the wind as you ride. You coast down the hill, see the old haunted house set back from the sidewalk, shrouded by brambles and overgrown hedges. Hit the brakes, even though you don’t want to, even though the house scares you, even though you’re certain you’ll see some ghoul peeking from an upstairs window, or shadow on the front porch which will give you nightmares for the rest of your life. Your heart pounds. There’s nothing to see... maybe next time!!!!! With notes of popcorn, candy cigarettes, watermelon bubblegum, ripe red apples, green pears, fresh ginger, moss, bergamot and cognac.
  12. Pixie Spell Essentials Watermelon Sugar High Perfume Oil – A vegan blend of fresh, crisp watermelon, pink sugar, light lime zest, mint, vanilla crystals and sweet musk.
  13. SNIF Swede Tooth EDP - An ode to the gummy - the juicy, perfectly soft and sugary treat. Take a ride on a Dala Horse through the candy aisle of your dreams and smell something scandalously sweet. With notes of watermelon, raspberry, candy sugar, violet, cedarwood and musk.
  14. Stone and Wit Why Would You Make This Perfume Oil – From the perfumer – “I don’t remember how I came across this hilariously awful review of making smoked watermelon in The Guardian, but that night I dreamt of making a smoked watermelon perfume. I immediately wrote down the idea and ingredients and promptly forgot about it. What a terrible idea. What a stupid, awful, bad, terrible, terribad idea. Until I decided to start composing it. A fruity, sweet-umami gourmand? Maybe this isn’t so bad. There definitely aren’t many savory gourmands... Yeah, I like how this worked out. For the next two days, the watermelon sits in the fridge in a bath of brine. When people come over I bring it out like an underwhelming Victorian curio. Here it is. It’s the watermelon I have carved to look like a ham. What have I been up to? Not much, but I did carve a watermelon into a ham." It is a savory, smoky, salty, fruity fragrance with notes of watermelon, lime, bergamot, paprika, raisins, apples and Sezchuan pepper.
