There is something special about horses. I don't think there is an animal in the world that smells as good as a horse! Granted, I was totally into horses as a kid. Had the little western outfits, wrote horse stories, took riding lessons and spent plenty of time with horses but if maybe just a sweaty horse perfume isn't for you, then these fragrances blend in notes of grass, hay, leather and woods to create some gorgeous fragrances.

- Dawn Spencer Hurwitz Estancia Voile de Parfum - A moderately vintage-leaning atmospheric hay fragrance with a beautifully integrated horse note, leather chaps, pampas grass and sexy undertones of boozy smoked tequila. In Argentina, an Estancia is the ranch where Gauchos live and create their unique lifestyle around horse & cow wrangling. In researching Gaucho culture, the perfumer became entranced by the beauty of the images she found as well as the romantic nature of their surroundings on the Estancia. It features top notes of bergamot, blue agave tequila (accord), galbanum, green grass, pampas grass (accord) and smoked tequila (accord); middle notes of American sweetgrass, Damask rose absolute, Grandiflorum jasmine, hay absolute, frankincense co2, Mexican cedarwood, yerba maté absolute and spice notes; and base notes of ambergris, amyris, Brazilian vetiver, brown oakmoss, cade, castroeum, coumarin, East Indian patchouli, guaiacwood, horse (animalic accord), leather, Peru balsam and tobacco absolute.
- Memo Paris Irish Leather EDP - Irish Leather blends leather accord with the windy freshness of juniper berries and green mate absolute. One of those icy, biting mornings. Pink pepper. The sun peeks through the heavy grey clouds. Oil of clary sage. The wind slips beneath your clothes. Juniper berry. Morning dew soaks the grass. At last the stable, the wooden tack room doors, the burning scent of leather, wood, amber and honey. An age-old odor. Green maté absolute. The soft whinny of the horse. Oil of flouve. The smell of freedom. The leather gathers in the wind, the grass warms with the wood. Tonka bean absolute. Irish Leather gallops off into the horizon. It is a unisex leather fragrance that launched in 2013 and was created by Alienor Massenet. It features notes of juniper berries, leather, mate, amber and tonka bean.
- Phaedon Sable Marocain (Moroccan Sand) EDP - An oriental fougere that was inspired by the Moroccan Fantasia which is an exhibition of traditional jousting on horseback performed during cultural festivals. A creamy labdanum leather that smells like a well-used horse saddle, warm animalic and sweet, a touch piquant. Sable Marocain was inspired by the pageantry of the Moroccan Fantasia, an equestrian joust under the burning sun of the Maghreb. With its ambery, animalic and floral facets, Moroccan labdanum resinoid dominates the composition. The warm radiance of coca leaves, citrus and spicy ginger sheds its light on a woody, balsamic and smoky base of cocoa, vetiver, lignum vitae and Copahu balsam. With a top note of labdanum; middle notes of lemon and ginger; and base notes of cocoa, vetiver, lignum vitae and copahu balm.
