Description

Ortir is a Welsh fragrance brand creating fragrances that reflect the wildlife of West Wales, rare botanicals and changing seasons. The brand's name means "of the land" in Welsh, reflecting the local flora and spectacular surrounding landscapes: emerald green hills, majestic mountains, and the serene surface of lakes. DOL transports you, not by force, but by inspiration. Italian lemon and minty rose geranium greet you like the crisp morning air of a hillside awakening to the sun's touch. Soon, lavender whispers its velvety softness, entwined with the earthy embrace of haystacks, grounding you in a world where time slows and meadows stretch endlessly. As the journey deepens, vetiver rises - a rich echo of soil and roots, anchoring you firmly to the land of Ortir, where fields hum with quiet vitality. It's not an escape; it's a return. DOL features top notes of Italian lemon and minty geranium rose; middle notes of haystacks and lavender fields; and a base note of rich, dry earthy vetiver. It is an eau de parfum, edp.

Miskeo is a small batch mised media perfume that is handcrafted and bottled in Berlin using local organic grape alcohol.

ORTIR DOL REVIEWS

StephanMatthew.com: "Each of the fragrances in the Ortir line are inspired by the perfumer's personal experiences of life in Wales. All four fragrances are exceptional, but it was Dôl that I absolutely fell in love with. This reworking of the traditional fougere style embodies a walk through the unspoilt Welsh landscape, with the grass at knee height, the sunshine hitting the partially scorched earth, but always with the inevitable hint of rain on the horizon. The evocative aspect of Dôl though has to be the inclusion of Lisa's homegrown lavender, and it is guaranteed to smash your preconceptions. Dôl opens with a magical citrus and aromatic pairing, so you’re instantly put into the mindset of an expansive terrain. This blending of bergamot with grapefruit, along with a touch of green galbanum, is given an aquatic and herbaceous quality thanks to the introduction of mint, which is an ingredient sorely underused in today’s perfumes. The development sees the promised home-grown lavender arrive, linked beautifully from the aromatically-edged bergamot, but there’s a golden earthiness to this oil (rather than simply the usual purple wash) that is almost ethereal. You’re then treated to a rounded rose geranium, again with its earthy nuances, before the recognisable fougere base of oakmoss, tonka bean and vetiver completes the perfect romp through the fields. Perfumery really doesn’t get much better than this!"

Bloom Perfumery: "Spring brings soft light and shy shoots of green. The smell of ahhhhhhh...new hay, forest ferns, damp earth.  It's good to feel the sun on your face again, isn't it?"

Oksana, Bloom Perfumery: "Soft and aromatic hay, lavender and geranium lift their melodious voices to the rain-washed skies over the meadow. The smell of clean slates and endless possibilities, grounded by vetiver.”
