Our Infinite Outer Space Sampler - Set of Fifteen Samples

This sampler will let you experience outer space without actually having to go to outer space. 

1. Aether Arts Perfume Burner Perfume No. 12 Black Hole Voile de Parfum - Black Hole is a cheeky perfume that references all the craziness that was 2020-2021. Covid continues its rampage with new and improved variants. Mask mandates come and go, our politics dictate our lives with serious consequences to our health and ability to pursue a life of equality and opportunity. Science and fact-based data are suspect while “alternative” truths add to the overall chaos. It’s enough to make you feel like you fell down a black hole and have emerged into an alternate universe. Maybe some things are the same, maybe everything is different and the only constant is you. Black Hole the perfume is space suffused with darkness. Our arrival to the Event Horizon is a chorus of licorice notes (think black jelly beans in space). Having passed through the Event Horizon, we are then pulled into the Singularity where a whiff of gunpowder, smoke, oakmoss, patchouli, and vetiver reveals the dark heart of our void. Finally, we drift into the great unknown with a hint of black pepper, metallic rose and musk. Black Hole features an event horizon accord; a middle note of singularity accord; and a base note of the great unknown. 
2. Alkemia The Center of the Universe Perfume - The center of our universe is raspberries and rum? In a vast dust cloud at the center of the Milky Way there is an abundance of ethyl formate, a simple aliphatic ester found in the smell of rum and raspberries. To these elements, Alkemia has added notes from astronauts' descriptions of the smell of their suits when they return from space walks - freshly welded metal, gunpowder, seared steak in an iron pan, burnt almond cookies, charcoal and ozone. 
3. Andrea Maack Supernova EDP - An exploding star in Iceland. A warmly spiced saffron oud as luminous as a blazing star. Clean vetiver, botanical lavender, and rich cypress grounded in green cardamom pods, cedar, and subtly smoky leather. Created by Julien Rasquinet it features top notes of cardamom, cinnamon and saffron; middle notes of lavender, cypress oil and cedarwood; and base notes of vetiver, leather and oud.
4. BPAL Scholar’s Tower Perfume Oil - Gleaming amber spheres, polished cedar and mahogany, sweet parchment, inks of frankincense ash, and soft plumes of incense. Together, the two scholars charted the paths of comets, discovered and named new stars, and debated the size and shape of the observable skies. They loved their study of the heavens, but they also strove to keep their inner world full and happy. Some days, all they needed was a sunny spot in their tower to enjoy a few books and a pot of tea together with their horde of cats.
5. Byredo Space Rage (Cactus Jack for BYREDO - Travx Eau de Parfum) - Space Rage is a collaboration between Travis Scott and Byredo which debuted in November of 2020 with a candle and fragrance which sold out in three hours. They did a limited restock on January 21st and immediately sold out then as well. It is no longer available. Space Rage is meant to smell “literally like space,” Ben Gorham of Byredo told WWD (Women's Wear Daily) in November. He said Space Rage is “a play on words — our own space program. We just wanted to create something tangible and accessible from the idea of space travel and space.” With top notes of cosmic dust and antimatter particles; middle notes of starlight and the scent of supernova; and base notes of atmospheric vapor and dark nebulae.  
6. DeGabor Astronaut Extrait de Parfum - Everyone has a dream to become an astronaut... 7. Demeter Spacewalk Cologne - Demeter took the idea of a sweet, shrill and metallic scent and twisted and extended it into an out-of-this-world wearable fragrance experience. There has been much discussion about the smell of space and after a 2003 mission, astronaut Don Pettit described it this way on a NASA blog: "It is hard to describe this smell...The best description I can come up with is metallic; a rather pleasant sweet metallic sensation.” 
8. Eau de Space Eau de Luna The Smell of the Moon EDP – Created by Steve Pearce, Eau de Luna is described as "a unique smell, that's hard to describe...like spent gunpowder". It is based on early accounts from Apollo astronauts and is an authentic account of a lunar experience. Based on the success of the Kickstarter campaign for Eau de Space, Eau de Luna is based on verified astronaut accounts from the only 12 people to ever step on the moon's surface. In 2010, artists working with the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam created a limited edition, scratch-and-sniff print that featured the smell of the moon using Pearce's "Moondust Natural R342" scent. Pearce designed the lunar aroma around Apollo 16 moonwalker Charlie Duke's description of the lunar regolith, or soil. "It is really a strong smell," radioed Duke after getting a whiff of the dust from the stains on his spacesuit once he was back inside the lunar module on the moon in 1972. "It has that taste to me of gunpowder — and the smell of gunpowder, too." On the next mission, Apollo 17, Gene Cernan remarked, “smells like someone just fired a carbine in here." Apparently every Apollo astronaut would bring moondust back inside the lander. Moondust was incredibly clingy, sticking to boots, gloves and other exposed surfaces. No matter how hard they tried to brush their suits before re-entering the cabin, some dust made its way inside. Once their helmets and gloves were off, the astronauts could feel, smell and even taste the moon and now you can too.
9. Eau de Space The Smell of Space EDT - Released in 2020 and designed by Steve Pearce, this is a fragrance that was designed by NASA to train astronauts on how Outer Space actually smells. The "notes" are "a rather pleasant metallic sensation like sweet-smelling welding fumes, burning metal, a distinct odour of ozone, an acrid smell, walnuts and brake pads, gunpowder, fruit, rum, and burnt almond cookie." 
10. Fyrinnae Aerobraking Perfume Oil - Aerobraking means to cause a spacecraft to slow down by flying through a planet's rarefied atmosphere to produce aerodynamic drag. With notes of warm machine oil, cold titanium and the slightly stale scent of re-circulated oxygen.

14. Sixteen92 The Book of Stars Parfum - The Book of Stars is part of the May Legacy Collection. It was originally released as a Circle Membership Special Edition in 2020. These are usually offered to Circle members only, but since Sixteen92 did not open a Circle membership this year, the owner was able to make a small batch of this by special request to share during Legacy. It features notes of the smell of space (meteor dust, ozone, metal and ethyl formate) blended with grounding white sandalwood, papyrus and earthy musks.
