Peach juice drips off his white-painted chin onto his papery cotton ruff, staining it under the wide, milky moon. A fool no more, now that he’s known love, he’s been reduced to this: a slip of a man, more like an overgrown child in too-fancy pajamas. The trees seem to bend backward into the night—even they don’t want to bear witness to this tragicomic travesty. In his pocket, a letter with words too faded to read anymore but still scented with the cold headiness of violets. He reaches to make sure it’s still there as he glows, electric in the dark of spring. With top notes of saffron and violet; middle notes of peach, milk and moonlight; and base notes of cedar and old love letters. This was a limited edition fragrance and is no longer available on their website. Neon Pierrot is an eau de parfum, edp.
PEARFAT PARFUM NEON PIERROT
Instagram: “It’s genuinely so fantastic. I’m on the last drops of my current bottle.”
Fragrantica: “I think it’s a beautiful fragrance - just not for me. Something about it sits a little funkily on my skin, but I don’t completely hate it. Could be fun for a warm sunny day!”
Fragrantica: “It smells like hot plastic with dulce leche. Weird smell and a bit off putting but I don’t hate it.”
Fragrantica: “Really intrigued by this scent, although it could benefit from a minor reformulation to give it more balance. Initial spray is quite astringent before settling into a buttered popcorn & burnt paper core, anchored by the cedar. On me, the peach and violet get lost under the perfume's creamy woodiness, but when they come through, it's quite lovely. Layering it with another fruit-forward fragrance might bring out some of those buried notes and cut through the lingering sharpness. Overall, not an everyday wear for me, but I could see this being fun on a movie night out (perhaps a screening of Les Enfants du Paradis?).”
