Hera features notes of slices of yellow cake layered with strawberry jam, fluffy vanilla icing and soft pink lotus blossoms. From their website: We know what you’re thinking. Oh, her. That slut-shaming goddess who went around turning her husband’s paramours/victims into random stuff. All transmogrification aside, Hera does have some things going for her. She’s the queen of heaven. She has command over the stars, sky and weather. She created the Milky Way. The ancient Greeks considered her one of the most esteemed goddesses. And let’s not forget something very important about Hera -- she is the goddess of marriage, which means she’s the goddess of weddings, which means she’s basically the goddess of -- cake. The only cheating you should do around her is an extra slice of cake. It is a water-based mist.
Reddit: I bought this because I was originally looking specifically for strawberry perfumes on IMAM when I discovered Poesie. This one sadly lasts the least amount of time on my skin--about three hours at full strength and then two more as just a faint scent. The throw is very light, and I reapplied three times just to be able to smell it. It is however in my top three that I ordered and received. Hera is sweet and delicious, but not in a B&BW kind of way. This isn't strawberry vanilla at the mall, this is strawberry vanilla holding a knife to your throat. The initial scent is fruity, floral, and a bit vanilla-y. It's also not warm like most of the other scents from Poesie I tried. It's cold. Not powdery, not sticky, not warm, cold. Most of the scents I tried from Poesie smell kind of like *your skin but better* but not Hera. Hera smells like the final girl, it smells like pink and preppy, it smells like a goddess who is sick to death of being characterized as a hot mess evil step-mother. If there is such a thing as a "clean" cake smell, this is it. It's so fresh and light. The pink lotus flowers are the lightest note for me, but they come through once it's dried down quite a bit. The strawberry isn't hyperrealistic, but it's also not artificial at all. I wore this out on a date, and while I don't think it did anything for me in the seduction department, I did feel very pretty and kind of badass while I wore it. 10/10
Reddit: Realistic strawberry shortcake when wet. After a while, the strawberry fades and the lotus blossoms come through, adding a lightly floral base that doesn't interfere with the overall sugary-sweetness. This is pure vanilla cake with whipped icing that, when fully dry, makes me think of tiny cakes in a fancy tea house.
