Rain, Rain Go Away Sampler - Set of Five 1/2ml Samples

 This sampler allows you to experience the scent of rain in various locations. You know how just before it rains, you can smell the rain? That's because the air becomes more humid and the ground begins to moisten. This process helps to speed up the activity of the actinobacteria and more geosmin is formed. When raindrops fall on the ground, especially porous surfaces such as loose soil or rough concrete, they will splatter and eject tiny particles called aerosols. The geosmin and other petrichor compounds that may be present on the ground or dissolved within the raindrop are released in aerosol form and carried by the wind to surrounding areas. If the rainfall is heavy enough, the petrichor scent can travel rapidly downwind and alert people that rain is soon on the way. The scent eventually goes away after the storm has passed and the ground begins to dry. This leaves the actinobacteria lying in wait – ready to help us know when it might rain again. 

You will receive  a 1/2ml sample (1ml sample vial filled half full) of each of the fragrances in this sampler.

A sudden shower cooling the air: the romantic smell of London after a rainsquall when water has washed away frivolity, leaving only a zesty and triumphant breeze with a soft echo of the storm. The strength of bergamot, cardamom and violet is tempered by birch tree and a dusting of patchouli. Black Citrus features top notes of cardamom and Calabrian bergamot; middle notes of mate leaves and violet; and base notes of birch, Indonesian patchouli and vetiver. 
2. Osmofolia Nimbostratus Perfume Oil - Low-lying dark nimbostratus clouds and a torrential downpour of rain: black tea, rain-drenched soil, dewy violets, inky vetiver, and ominous black clouds.
3. Alkemia Taste of Rain EDP - A primordially vernal chypre consecrated by silver rain, green ivy, holy basil, lilacs, moss and wisteria.
4. SIF Sniffs Dani EDP - Inspired by the classic film Midsommar, Dani encapsulates the experience of being the May Queen. With top notes of wisteria, magnolia and freesia; middle notes of lily, plumeria and primrose; and a base of April rain showers.
