Sixteen92 Highgate Cemetery Parfum Extrait was originally released with the Memento Mori Collection in the Fall of 2020 and now re-released as part of 2021 Falloween Greatest Hits. It was inspired by iconic cemeteries around the world. Highgate comprises two sites on either side of Swains Lane in Highgate, north London, and is notable as both a cemetery and as a nature preserve. Originally opened in 1839, today approximately 170,000 people are buried in around 53,000 graves across both sides of the cemetery. Notables buried there are Karl Marx, Michael Faraday, Douglas Adams and Christina Rossetti.
Highgate Cemetery features notes of Earl Grey tea, lavender sprigs, juniper berry, ivy, gravel, crumbling cobblestones, delicate fallen leaves and soft mittens. This is a contemplative herbal atmospheric. It is a parfum extrait.
Sixteen92 produces small-batch fine fragrance inspired by history, literature, lore and magic.
Reddit: "Cozy. Mostly tea, ivy, mittens, faint lavender. I can picture a cup of tea clutched tightly in someone's mittens on snowy cobblestone streets. "
As the Final Page Turns: "For a fragrance inspired by the stalking grounds of a demonic vampire this blend is surprisingly uplifting, peaceful and pretty. A non-soapy Earl Grey tea with an additional grating of bergamot and soft buds of lavender is dominant on my skin with a background of crumbled stone and juniper sprigs. Highgate Cemetery is nothing like I was expecting, however I oddly enjoy this one and I can see myself reaching for this vial in the dead of winter. On the long dry down Sixteen92's infamous textile and tactile accords appear with something resembling worn yarn mittens and warm skin."
