From The Recently Deceased Collection - This is a new and improved, updated and reformulated version of the original release of this fragrance from Halloween 2017. From their website: We're very unhappy. What did you expect - you're dead! Dry black tea, ectoplasm, crumbling headstones, dusty bookshelves, graveyard dirt, dead leaves. A chilly and bookish atmospheric grounded by a dark, resinous base and warm, dried tea leaves. Never Trust The Living is a parfum.
Sixteen92 produces small-batch fine fragrance inspired by history, literature, lore and magic.
Indie Scent Library: "This is perfect and everything I imagined it would be. Being a huge Beetlejuice fan I really hoped it would be a keeper. It starts out as resiny incense, not strong, maybe like the remains a while after some sort of ceremony has been performed. It is cool and musty and wild, like an attic overrun with foliage that has grown through cracks in the siding. This fades to a comforting book scent."
Indie Scent Library: "Quite similar to Liber Officiorum Spirituum on me, sans the leather and plus some tea. Sweet resins with the brightness of tea and something a tiny bit like wet leaves in there calming down the sweetness. Later on, it’s less bright (though still sweet and resinous) and some more of those papery atmospheric notes are apparent."
Fragrantica: "It's very dark atmospheric, and wears masculine if that matters to anyone. I bought because I love a good book smell, also love earthy dirt. This is dark and grimy- dead leaves, dark earth, stony. I can DIG it."
Reddit: "Has "petrichor-adjacent" notes - dirt, leaves, damp stone. It ends up being softer as it dries down. I like it better as it softens, so oil is good, but an edp would probably have stronger throw and longevity, which also sounds nice."
