Sixteen92 Rook is part of Sixteen92's Legacy Collection. It was originally released as part of the Winter 2014 Collection. Fireside on a snowy afternoon. Golden embers against the grey stillness of a frosty window pane. Warm almond and vanilla shortbread with rich amber resin, spicy clove and a curl of woodsmoke from the hearth. A warm, cozy & slightly smoky gourmand with notes of almond, vanilla, amber resin, clove and woodsmoke. Rook is a parfum extrait.
Sixteen92 produces small-batch fine fragrance inspired by history, literature, lore and magic.
Reddit: Clove, but like weird, bitter, sharp clove. This is not a warm and spicy chai clove, but instead you're standing outside in the bracing cold, smelling a handful of whole cloves. There's also some weird play-doh synthetic scent floating in the background. I dont know, my description makes it sound bad but I'm actually incredibly intrigued by this scent! After reading the notes, I'm interested because the non-clove notes are blended in a way that is semi-unidentifiable. I think the bitterness comes from the resin and smoke, while the almond and vanilla contribute to the play-doh! Regardless, this is a very interesting take on winter and spice. I like it.
Reddit: Wearing Rook today, It reminds me of fall and is quite witchy/gothy. The clove is very strong and smoky, reminding me of clove cigarettes. There is just a touch of sweetness from the vanilla/amber. if I try really hard I can smell the almond but it’s mostly overpowered by the other notes. Really liking it so far.
