Description

The Primrose Path was originally released with the 2016 Spring Collection, inspired by women of Shakespeare. It is an atmospheric murky green floral fragrance with notes of soaked earth, lichen, ancient oak roots, grass, water lily, heavy stone and a tangled garland of faded spring blooms. The Primrose Path is a parfum.

Sixteen92 produces small-batch fine fragrance inspired by history, literature, lore and magic.

SIXTEEN92 THE PRIMROSE PATH REVIEWS

Reddit:  Lying at the bottom of a clean riverbed among the smooth stones and watery greens. A true Ophelia scent. No further notes. Gorgeous.

Reddit: I personally feel this smells a little mildewy. It especially has a LOT of 1692's signature stone note. Wet on my skin, I really amp the florals but that realistic wet dirt note is still there to balance things a little. Smells like something my Nana used to wear (I think it's the lily). On the drydown, the lichen, oak, stone, and water lily start to come out more and it gets more complex and likeable. This smells less like grass and more like freshly cut flower stems. Has a very feminine 50's vibe, so not really "me." Moderate throw, decent longevity.

Indie Scent Library: Incredibly realistic damp florals, almost exactly like walking through a spring garden right after a rainstorm. For me the florals are very much front and centre here, with the dirt, grass, and stone notes being strong supporting players. Genuinely evocative, and so intensely realistic that it doesn’t always fit neatly into everyday wear, but it is nevertheless an unique and incredibly well-crafted scent.

Indie Scent Library: The Primrose Path is a very green and wet scent with more soft floral nuances. This scent really is a perfume representation of an actual painting. It’s beautiful and soft and a bit somber, the stone and soaked earth and lichen and damp grass reminiscent of a river bank. It’s hyperrealistic and I can almost hear the water trickling by.

Indie Scent Library: A mellow, soft green scent with a hint of watery florals. A tiny bit earthy, but not enough to dredge it into full damp soil territory. Dewy greens are the predominant notes, with watery fresh florals over the top. Definitely on the realistic side – clean-smelling, but not in an artificial or sharp way. It has less earthiness/petrichor and more soft sweetness to it than Supercell. Longevity about 5 hours, but not strong throw – this is a delicate scent. Love this.

Indie Scent Library: On the realistic side – this is damp, green, and earthy, with hints of gentle floral peeking over the top. A floral sister to Supercell. The floral notes are so general and gentle (‘faded’ is appropriate) that I don’t think flower-haters would loathe this. It’s reminiscent of a damp spring walk, making your way past dewy blooms. Literal and quite delicate.
