Welcome to the Maine Moon Drive In. During October, they will be hosting Midnight Marquee, late night double-features on Fridays and Saturdays with lot access beginning at 11:30. Join us this Friday as we debut “Parlor Trick”, which explores a mystery that has captivated the area for decades. Midnight Marquee is a dark and mysterious fragrance featuring notes of black musk, gasoline, supple leather, rich earth, raw tobacco, a touch of moss, crunchy leaves, Foxcroft air and a tiny touch of vanilla musk.
Rich, moody, atmospheric, dark and smooth, Midnight Marquee seeks to combine the atmosphere of a mysterious film and the late night October drive-in experience. This is a very different fragrance from Solstice Scent's Maine Moon, which is also listed on our website. That one features concession notes of root beer, popcorn, caramel and chocolate combined with strong fall air, dirt, leaves and leather car seats.
Created as part of a collection of fragrances based on the fictional town of Foxcroft, Maine. Midnight Marquee is an eau de parfum, edp.
SOLSTICE SCENTS MIDNIGHT MARQUEE REVIEWS
Fragrantica: I received a sample of Midnight Marquee from a destash, and if I am being honest, I would have NEVER picked this out on my own. The notes are 100% not my thing. But, oh my goodness, am I ever glad this came across my path! Simply put, it is phenomenal. It opens with leather - a tire store smell (similar to Bvlgari Black), but I also quickly get the gasoline, tobacco, fallen leaves, and a mild dirt scent. Vanilla weaves its way through all of these notes, too, turning the whole blend into an incredibly sexy composition. I agree with a previous poster who said it smells expensive. It totally reads as a high end niche perfume. Highly recommend this one, even if you think the notes are not you.
Fragrantica: This is such a cool scent, I just love it! The gasoline is noticeable but it reads as more of an oily petroleum vibe. The musky leather is earthy and ever so slightly ozonic with the perfect amount of sweetness from the vanilla. I highly recommend to fans of leather or earthy musks. This is the indie version of Dior Fahrenheit.
Fragrantica: Gasoline, dirt, suede and crisp mountain air. Very well blended perfume.
