Russian Caravan is a blend of smoked black teas and black leather with just a hint of fruity pomegranate and black currants, pink peppercorn and exotic amber. It smells primarily of the smoky tea and leather and has a masculine edge due to these components. The amber is not readily apparent until it has been on the skin for some time and at that point the scent is mostly that of a soft tea and amber. It lends itself to smoothing the blend out and taking the edge off of the harsher dominant notes. The fruits and peppercorn add a subtle twist and slightly sweeten the blend. On skin the combo takes on a note of tobacco leaf as well, most likely from the smoked tea. It features notes of amber, leather, smoked tea (lapsang souchong tincture), smoke, earth, pepper, pine, fatwood (super resinous pine wood firestarter) and black currant. It's a bit sweet and smoky with accents of dry tea, leather, spice/pepper, fruit and pine/amber pine resin and lots of golden amber. Russian Caravan is an eau de parfum, edp.

Fragrantica: “Russian Caravan is an impressively leather-forward scent. I don’t own any leather jackets, but I’ve smelled a great many of them (I’ve lived next door to the annual Bike Week revelries in Daytona Beach for most of my life, after all) but rather than stinking of sleazy bars and unwashed summer bodies, this is a lovely, worn-in leather that smells of an early June trek through forest greenery, a soft, piney astringency mixed with the tart sweetness of woodland berry bushes. And no hike is complete without a flask of lapsang souchong tucked into your pocket, right? (Wait, is that not a thing?) The fragrance of this dark, smoky tea takes a backseat to the other notes, but is a dry, peppery constant woven throughout.”
Fragrantica: “Very realistic, slightly sweet, wet tea with a hint of smoke. It smells like brewed black tea left in a mug at room temperature. Was hoping for something richer like a satchel of unbrewed lapsang laced with blackcurrant, but I can appreciate the aquatic quality this has.”
