Sawmill opens with a medley of fresh cut woods, pine sap and pine needles and progresses towards a rich black coffee, dried woods and a trace of motor oil and saw dust. It focuses on the woods without any gourmand or floral aspects. This is the scent of freshly felled wood in the wilderness, complete with tons of sticky pine sap, a waft of black coffee (it's detectable but this is not a coffee forward perfume) and just a hint of motor oil. Very beautiful natural essences such as juniper wood, cypress, a variety of cedars and more pair with fir, spruce, pine, amber, copaiba and a bit of motor oil and black coffee. Very dry and comforting woods on the dry down. With notes of fresh cut wood, wood resin, balsam, cured woods, pine, black coffee, motor oil, amber and sawdust. Sawmill is an eau de parfum, edp.

SOLSTICE SCENTS SAWMILL REVIEWS
Reddit: Sawmill is a hyper-realistic lumber scent. Literally smells like you've just been chopping down a tree. The slight bitterness from the coffee is present, too. I wouldn't compare it to Smoke and Mirrors either, since it's not smoky and much less sweet, but it sure it is woody.
Reddit: Sawmill smells exactly like the Home Depot lumber section-sweet, woodsy, and dusty.
Fragrantica: I was confused about how people were getting gourmand from these nots but now that I have the fragrance...I totally get it ? its so beautiful tho. My dad is a Mechanic and I grew up in the forest. This checks a lot of scent memory boxes for me. Love at first sniff.
Fragrantica: This is my #1 FAVORITE fragrance from Solstice Scents. I am disappointed only because I have run out and have to wait until winter to get more! The saw dust and freshly cut wood are the most dominant notes for me, but I think the pine and motor oil come through as well. It’s definitely more masculine leaning and just makes me feel like the coziest lumberjack in the land. It lasts fairly long and is great in the oil and EDP. I usually love both so my hoodies can smell like it too!
Bunny Echoes: At first I can smell a very warm aroma of fresh cut wood and wood resin, basking in the hot summer’s sun. The pine aroma is in the background but what really grabs my attention is the black coffee, as if the logger decided to have a coffee break on his logging duty. After the logger finishes his cup of coffee (read: after the dry-down), the balsamic notes of wood reappear, together with sawdust. It’s not too dry of a perfume and it’s not dusty at all. In fact, it’s a very pleasant spring and summer scent. After a while I get a faint whiff of what could be the motor oil or perhaps the remnants of the wood resin. Sawmill is a very realistic perfume but still pleasant to wear. As you can see, I don’t think of it as a specifically winter perfume but it can be worn throughout the year.
