Description

Solstice Kyphi is a frankincense resin forward blend wrapped in plump raisins, sticky golden honey and warm beeswax, rendered red wine, rich resinous labdanum and dusty myrrh with light traces of spicy cassia, galangal and bright lemongrass. This kyphi incense inspired perfume is primarily natural and contains house tinctures of Hojary frankincense, organic raisins, cassia, galangal, beeswax and pine resin paired with a wide variety of natural essences and a few synthetics to enhance some of the fantasy accords. This blend opens with a bold blend of frankincense EOs, absolutes, CO2s and the Hojary tincture paired with a beautiful honeyed raisin. The wine is very gentle and has a deep mulberry-like fragrance. Cassia has a fragrance almost indistinguishable from cinnamon and is used extremely lightly (skin safe and an extremely low part of the fragrance). The CO2 and tincture of Galangal, a rhizome similar to ginger, is enhanced with a touch of fresh ginger and ginger CO2 to add a light touch of spice. Solstice Kyphi is a complex sweet, resinous, honeyed raisin and delicate spice fragrance that contains sacred resins and beautiful natural essences. The lemongrass is used sparingly to add a brightness to the effervescent frankincense. Solstice Kyphi is enhanced with house essences of lapis lazuli and gold and is finished with resonate vibrations from crystal singing bowls attuned to 432 Hz, focusing on the crown and pineal chakras. This perfume is based in organic cane sugar alcohol. Due to the use of beeswax in this perfume, it is not vegan. Solstice Kyphi is an eau de parfum, edp.

SOLSTICE SCENTS SOLSTICE KYPHI REVIEWS

Fragrantica: “Balsamic, sweet and boozy with slight greenness to it. Oh how adorable! Kyphi is a sweet delicious amber and incense. I smelled a sample and before I saw the notes I thought it was: vanilla, incense, balsams and some green notes. I did not detect wine of dried fruits. This smells so much like Christmas! Like the joy of waiting for December...”

Fragrantica: “Off the top this is very strong on the myrrh and spice notes for me. It smells like stepping into a very unique antique collector's shop with incense burning. It's not smoky but it reminds me of warm smoky rooms so I think of smoke. It's very interesting. On the dry down the honey comes forward but not in an overly saccarine way. It's a really really nice scent. Just not quite for me. I prefer a little more sweet.”

Fragrantica: “Ah, overall this was a winner for me and smells like sweet incense that I would burn (though these days I cannot tolerate smoke, as it scratches my throat). This does not bother my throat and it is resinous, fruity, deep, smoldering, sweet, powdery, honey muskiness, nicely balsamic; it truly smells like real incense (not a synthetically perfumed incense, like some are). And it morphs beautifully over time, smelling wisps of this and that, like you can smell in real burning incense. When I use my EDP samples a bit longer, I may go for a fb. It is heavy, best for cool weather, and used with a light touch. It is unique and not for everyone. I like dark scents and this variety of incense. It is well made for what it is, kyphi incense. I believe this would be the closest to the real thing based on ancient kyphi recipes. So if you like smelling like balsamic incense, give it a shot. 8.5/10”
