First Fire is essentially the scent of the first fire of the season. According to the perfumer, her family participates each year in the "first fire". For years, this usually occurred on a mid-September night but, as of the last few years, it’s graduated to the month of October. Whether it’s a smoky fire or a small fire in the chimenea, makes no difference. It’s all about that first cool night in autumn, when a fire is revered. All the fur babies celebrate with us as well. This event has even been known to turn into an impromptu bbq of sorts, with hot dogs and marshmallows roasted over the fire, with neighbors joining. Although, this version has no marshmallows but, can easily be paired with that scent for sweetness. First Fire is earthy, resinous wood smoke, with the greenery of balsam and spruce, leather from my moccasins, birch, aged cognac, red pipe accord, and a hint of apple bacon for the fur babes.
First Fire features notes of cedar, bonfire smoke, leather mocs, red pipe accord, aged cognac, spruce, birch and apple bacon. It is a perfume oil.
The Snowy White Owl fragrances are created by Kim Myers. Most all her fragrances are inspired by life experiences whether it be food, drink, or something simple such as hanging out by a bonfire and taking it all in. She feels that there are so many aspects of our lives when certain scent memories remind us of wonderful reminiscent times. These are the scents that she wishes to formulate, and all are from special, places, times, people, seasons, you name it.
