Description

The Pacific Northwest refers to the region in North American that features Washington and Oregon and is known for its stunning natural beauty, outdoor activities and relaxed lifestyle. It is a laid back, nature-centric lifestyle centered in Washington, Oregon and British Columbia, characterized by outdoor adventure, environmental stewardship, coffee culture and casual fashion. It involves embracing rainy, moody weather for the benefit of lush green landscapes, balancing urban living with easy access to mountains, forests and coastlines. The region offers a deep and brooding vibe with lush alpine landscapes, quiet forests and a feeling of being immersed in nature. Because many areas have plentiful rainfall and mild summers, the PNW has some of North America’s most lush and extensive forests, which are extensively populated with Coast Douglas fir trees, the second tallest growing evergreen conifer on earth. Pacific Northwest (PNW) inspired perfumes focus on atmospheric, earthy scents, commonly featuring notes of damp soil, Douglas fir, cedar, rain-soaked moss and coastal fog. Key scents often include petrichor, pine, fern and saltwater, aiming to capture the region's dense forests and moody, wet climate.

You will receive a 1/2ml sample (1ml sample vial filled half full) of each of the fragrances in this sampler:
  1. Arcana Wildcraft Leaves Falling Like Rain Perfume OilIn honor of our beloved Pacific Northwest and the best time of the year. A comforting base of brown sugar, caramel, gingersnaps, and cappuccino is sparked off with hints of vintage patchouli, hyssop, mullein, and white pepper.
  2. Botica Botanica Verdure Perfume Oil - Verdure is deep and green. Oakmoss, fern, rose and soil. Pacific Northwestern fern and forest floor. Verdure smells of oakmoss, rose and the spicy combination of moisture and soil.
  3. Calyx Ghostwood Perfume Oil - Ghostwood transports you to the mystical forest of Twin Peaks, Washington, where the whispers of the evergreen trees intertwine with the secrets of the woods. The fragrance opens with invigorating notes of fresh pine needles, capturing the essence of the towering conifers that dominate the landscape. As the scent unfolds, the heart reveals a mysterious sage, reminiscent of the hidden pathways and ancient caves within Ghostwood National Forest. Rich undertones of earthy vetiver and cedarwood create a fragrance that embodies the enigmatic and haunting aura of this shadowy realm. The overall effect is an evocative and captivating fragrance that pays homage to the mysteries concealed within the heart of Twin Peaks. With notes of pine, spruce, fir, cedar, sage. This is a woody, piney, herbal, fresh and dark fragrance.
  4. Freyja's Daughters Salt and Shadow Perfume Oil - She wanders the shore where the fog never lifts. Wrapped in sea-worn lace and silence, she waits, watching the horizon for a ship that will never return. The gulls cry overhead, the waves whisper secrets, and the salt clings to her skin like memory. But she is not alone. At North Head Lighthouse, perched above the Graveyard of the Pacific in Washington, the wind howls and the sea thunders below. Thousands of ships have wrecked on these shores. And one woman, Melancholy Mary, the wife of the first keeper, never left. After years of isolation and sorrow, she vanished one day, her body later found on the rocks. Whether by accident, grief, or something darker, her story lingers in the salt air. Locals say her spirit still roams the grounds, mourning in silence. Salt and Shadow is the scent of coastal mourning, where grief clings like sea spray and memory drifts with the tide. Salt tinged tears mingle with briny mist and the aching breath of the Pacific, echoing the sorrow of countless women who watched the waves swallow their beloved mariners. It carries the hush of sea laced air, storm washed driftwood, and the metallic whisper of rusted chains and forgotten vows with ghostly musk soft as seafoam and sorrow. A fragrance of longing, of widows in wind-worn shawls, of dreams lost to the deep. This is not a tempest. It is the stillness after. The hush of grief held too long. It feels like haunted harbors, wind-worn lace and longing. It is the comforting sense you have on an early foggy morning on an island shore where the sea is still and the heartbeat of the earth is calm. With notes of sea salt, driftwood, old paper, tattered lace, and candle smoke. Inspired by the countless forgotten mariners who gave their lives to the sea- and their wives who pace the rooftop widows walks on the Victorian homes dotting the coastlines of the Pacific Northwest. In short, the scent of lighthouses enveloped in fog on wind beaten shores where the forest meets the ocean.
  5. Freyja's Daughters West Coast Witch Perfume Oil - West Coast Witch captures the essence of mountain breezes and coastal forests. Ideal for those who love greenery but not grass. It's like inhaling the air of a fern-laden forest along the Pacific Coast with a freshness and purity that is unparalleled. With hints of ferns, sea salt, evergreens, moss, citrus, and sage, it transports you to the edge of a moss-covered woodland overlooking the ocean.
  6. Fyrinnae Aasgard Pass Perfume Oil - Well-done marshmallow kabobs over a campfire skewered on a fir twig. A woodsy fragrance rather than sweet with vetiver and fir needle oil. Aasgard Pass is in the Alpine Lakes area of the Cascades in Washington, next to Dragontail Peak.
  7. Imaginary Authors Cape Heartache EDP - Created by Josh Meyer, Cape Heartache is the lone American contribution to Philip Sava’s wildly popular series of exploration novels. It is based loosely on an expedition he made to the Pacific Northwest as a teenager in 1881 and is generally regarded as the most candid of his works. Revolving around a homestead he built in a coastal grove of old growth trees, the novel documents his romance with a young woman who was a descendent of the Nehalem Indian Tribe. It’s themes of leaving the familiar and finding comfort and solace in a new place still resonate today. With notes of Douglas fir, pine resin, Western hemlock, vanilla leaf, strawberry, old growth and mountain fog.
  8. Juniper Ridge Timberline Trail Field Lab Perfume Oil – Timberline Trail Field Lab was a limited quantity March 2025 release. It captures Mt. Hood in late Winter/early Spring when there’s a hint of sunshine just around the corner but a chill still lingers in a clean blue sky. The complex sweet smells of early blossoms by day mixed with the deep evergreen and conifer scents that make up the cool mountain air by night. It uses steam-distilled essential oils that are blended with a base of organic jojoba and coconut oils for a clean, 100% plant based hit of the wild, wherever you are. With notes of sweet pine resin, Mount Hood rain and sub-alpine fir.
  9. LizbeCo Forks ParfumClean notes of fresh rain, cool forest greens, and woodsy redwood and cedar.
  10. LizbeCo Pacific Northwest ParfumTake a walk among the redwood forests of the Pacific Northwest. With notes of spicy cloves, fresh earth, warm cedar, fresh pine, smoky embers and damp moss.
  11. Olympic Orchids Blackbird Parfum - Blackbird celebrates the dry season and the warm, peaceful days of summer in the Pacific Northwest, when walking anywhere from a country road to a city greenspace brings the powerful scent of tawny dry grass, fir and cedar trees baking in the sun releasing their sharp, incense-like resins, and juicy ripe blackberries tempting us and the blackbirds with their jammy, musky sweetness. Inspired by nature, it was a finalist for the 2014 Art and Olfaction Awards. Created by Ellen Covey and released in 2013, Blackbird features notes of Himalayan blackberry fruit, dry grass and leaves, elemi, cedar wood and resin, woody-amber accord, fir balsam absolute and musk.
  12. Paranormal Perfumes Forks Perfume Oil - Forks is a tiny Pacific Northwest town in a bottle. Rain. Forest secrets and golden eyes. Foggy mornings and misty nights. The meadow. 13. Pineward Snoqualmie Extrait - Pineward perfumes capture abandoned alpine farmsteads, boreal bracken and briars, frost-laden and fog-blanketed firs, loam-covered logs, prickles of pine, thickly thicketed thistles, rotting rooted carpets, morel mushroom mycelium, sap encrusted spruces and misty, murky, mossy, forests. Snoqualmie features notes of Douglas fir, balsam fir, red cedar, larch, tamarack and sandarac resin. "Enter the enchanted forest at its darkest - and brightest. Sandarac, tamarack and balsam set a deep and haunting baseline - A minor chord of Snoqualmie Forest evergreens beckons as owl feathers flutter above the damp earth."
  14. Snowy White Owl Eldritch Perfume Oil – A green fragrance that captures the scent of the rawness of midnight air, watching a late night bonfire beach party in the Pacific Northwest, driftwood washed ashore, light of the full moon shaded by mist, rawness of green coconut and a whiff of sweet resinous weed floating in the air. With notes of earthy eerie fog, driftwood, a distant bonfire, sweet resinous weed, green firs and green coconut.
  15. Venus Invictus Faunus EDP – In ancient Rome and myth, Faunus was the rustic god of the forest, plains and fields. This fragrance smells like running through a Pacific Northwest forest. It is a very coniferous and truly a very forest fragrance. With top notes of elemi, bergamot, mint, wormwood and yarrow; middle notes of hinoki wood, fig, cypress and bayberry; and base notes of oakwood, tobacco, dry wood, black hemlock and fern.
