Description

Jo Malone, the perfumer behind the Jo Loves brand, has collaborated with Zara on another collection of four fragrances called the Desert Collection“From the cerulean sunrise to the amber-tinted twilight of the desert, each and every second is imbued with this precious fragrance and its dazzling presence." — Jo Malone CBE, founder of Jo Loves.

Incense Sunset is part of the four fragrance Desert Collection. This is a unisex woody aromatic fragrance that launched in 2021. With notes of mandarin orange, cedar and incense. Incense Sunset is an eau de parfum, edp.

Zara x Jo Loves Incense Sunset Reviews

Fragrantica: Pretty, natural-smelling, cool incense as main note, with cedar undertones. The mandarin gives it a freshness, but it's not a sweet mandarin. It's the type of incense that is present in Sycomore, but there's no vetiver in this. No synthetic dry down, and pretty good performance for the price and Jo Malone-style. The first 3-4 hours the sillage is quite good and then it dries down to intimate sillage, but lasts quite a long time, like 6-8 hours. Suitable for fall and transitional seasons. Too light for cold winter.

smells like a much more expensive natural bergamot

I collect perfume samples as a personal library for a broad range of scents. This one I'll keep and really enjoy as a reference for a blast of authentic smelling, pulpy peppery bergamot. It reminds me a lot of Bergamotto di Calabria which is gorgeous but expensive. The entire experience for incense sunset is also nice, as it dries down to a soft powdery incense. The longevity and sillage requires re-application every couple hours, or it's an opportunity to wear something different.
