Bravanariz means 'brave nose' in Spanish and the subtitle 'smelling wild' after their name indicates exactly what perfumer Ernesto Collado Sala does which is to literally capture the natural scents of the untouched landscape during his walks in north-east Spain. He then makes 100% natural and unfiltered perfumes. The scents are derived from gathering and harvesting actual plants, then distilling them, and having the formulation rest for 20 days. As these are 100% natural, unisex and are designed to capture a landscape in an olfactory experience.
In the 4 Seasons Collection, there are four scents inspired by the seasons and they are made from plants that thrive and are harvested in the season they represent. These fragrances are eau de cologne (5%) concentration and are intended as a relaxed option - more of a soft scent. Bravanariz suggests that they be worn in the comfort of your home (but it’s not a home spray). The gentle natural vibes can be appreciated at home where there is less sensory distraction (compared to the office, the street, or the crowds).
- Gener (January in Catalan) has you imagining the smell of nature in winter, aromas frozen in cold, crisp air. Bravanariz invites you to walk in a forest after a storm, inhaling the smell of damp broken branches on the forest floor, the mineral aroma of sleeping earth, dry grass, evergreens, berries and fruit on leafless branches. In Gener you have juniper, mastic and oakmoss playing leading roles in the winter aroma story. Additional notes include pine, orange, lemon and bergamot.
- Maig (May in Catalan) is deliciously contradictory, just like spring. It combines the elegance of lavender and the dark warmth of labdanum resin, along with the sweet aromas of wild blooming meadows. Maig is a green herbaceous spring extravaganza: three kinds of lavender along with geranium and chamomile, plus the bright lush green of juniper and cypress.

Imagine walking under the hot sun after a swim in the sea, climbing up a rocky path to the cliffs flanked by cypress, perhaps picking up a fennel leaf to chew. Agost is the smell of full-on summer in rural Spain, but it’s dedicated to what you appreciate most on a hot day - cool shadow. Agost is a mix of refreshing herbs including anise, mint, peppermint and fennel, gradually evolving into a deeper green of rosemary, pine and cypress. With additional notes of lavender and rockrose.
