If there is one place that the perfumer would eagerly return to in their lifetime, it would be Ine, a quaint fishing village with houses made of wood and concrete. The first floor of these houses serves as a boat garage, while the upper floor is used for living (Funaya). Located in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan, Ine captured the perfumer's heart even though they spent only five hours there. The village might not have much in terms of attractions, but its serene tranquility allowed me to spend hours without feeling bored. Sitting by the waterfront, gazing at the deep blue waters, letting the gentle sea breeze wash over me, and inhaling the subtle scent of the ocean while the afternoon sun peeked through the clouds, everything felt perfect.
Zephyr Veil is a woody aromatic fragrance with driftwood at its core, telling the story of wooden houses weathered by the sea. It is blended with seaweed absolute to enhance the marine essence, complemented by the unique opening scent of sweet fennel that adds an earthy note. The fragrance is brightened and given depth with violet leaf absolute, resulting in a scent that is both refreshing and subtly profound. It features top notes of fennel sweet, violet leaf and sea breeze; middle notes of driftwood, black pepper and sea salt; and base notes of seaweed, amber and ambergris. This is a Thai brand and not available in the United States. Zephyr Veil is an eau de parfum, edp.
