Steam is a woody aromatic fragrance that launched in 2025. Created by Lyn Harris, it features top notes of green tea, coriander, Italian Mandarin and plum; middle notes of birch tar, Virginia cedar, black pepper, reseda and white magnolia; and base notes of juniper and Virginia sandalwood. Inspired by the mist rolling over the mysterious hills of an ancient tree forest in the early morning, Steam conjures the moment of inspiration between dreaming and waking, when the day is ripe with possibility. Hues of dewy plum, mandarin, coriander and grapefruit are brought together with a transparent steam of reseda and white magnolia, rooted with the enigmatic notes of cedar, birch, and green mate. Bright, crisp, and mysterious; it is a scent of clarity—an olfactory awakening. From their website: To imagine Steam and direct its shoot, Lyn travelled to the remote mountains of Jingmai and its ancient plantation forests in southwestern China—a place where time seems to slow and nature reveals itself in quiet, unspoken ways. Home to nine ancient villages, surrounded by a mysterious sea of clouds rising from the valley, this historic UNESCO World Heritage site has been cultivated for over a thousand years, following traditions that trace back to the 10th century. Ten years in the making, it was there that Lyn finalized her creative vision. Each morning, Lyn would wake up to find herself immersed in steam that fed her soul and enlightened her senses—a mist which, as she was told by a local monk, carries cleansing properties so unique that fabled visitors try to catch it in jars and carry it home. It was here, witnessing the mist weave its way through the ancient landscape, that she found her moment of clarity. It was created by classically trained British perfumer, Lyn Harris who trained in Paris and Robertet Grasse before starting her career working with many acclaimed brands. She was one of the first female master perfumers to break into the industry. Lyn Harris founded Miller Harris in 2000 as well as founding Perfumer H in 2015. The laboratory and shop of Perfumer H are located in Marylebone, London and here each person is able to see how the perfumer works and experience the working laboratory.

Fragrantica: "A diffuse floral tea perfume with a base of creamy woods. Intensive green tea, seemingly steaming in the cup, sweetened with magnolia and mignonette, accented with coriander, birch tar smoke and mandarin. Juniper, light pepper and cedar in the base. Very much in the reflective and naturalistic style of the house, this is a calming spa-style scent elevated by its floral notes into something more complex and addicitve. My favourite of their recent releases."
