Violet perfumes are plentiful in the world of perfumery - and for good reason. For such a teeny little delicate flower, the violet is mighty in smell.  Considered old-fashioned through the later 1900s, it has surged again after 2000 - both old classic violet perfumes and modern violet perfumes.

The violte is either purple, white or a mix. Beyond perfumery - as if that's not enough!  - the violet has some medicinal uses as well. It helps with colds, asthma, rheumatic pains.  It is rumored that Napoleon Bonaparte was a big fan of the little gem flower.  There are two different smells involved in the violet. The leaf is different than the flower. It is more green. The violet flower is sweeter and a little woody and sometimes powdery.

There are a wide range of violet perfumes available.  Some of the best of them are -
